1. How do I register on Milojee.com

The process of registering on Milojee is very simple. You will need to become a member of Milojee.com which is free. Simply enter your email address and a unique login username accompanying a password to allow to access to the site. Don't worry, your email address will be kept completely private and will never appear to other members. Once you have logged in you can add your profile for free and start searching for people.

2. What are the benefits of registering on Milojee.com? Do I get anything FREE?

3. How much does it cost to register on Milojee.com?.

Nothing, it’s FREE and will always remain that way.

4. How long does it take to register and create a profile on Milojee.com

The whole process from registering to creating your profile on Milojee.com will take less than 10 minutes.

5. Whilst trying to register, an error message appears which tells me to choose another ‘Username’. Why?

This is due to the fact that another registered member of Milojee.com has already chosen that particular name. Therefore you will need to choose a name that has not been used whilst making sure that the new chosen name is not considered abusive to others. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for further details.

6. Whilst trying to register, an error message appears which tells me my email address is already registered.

Every profile that is registered with Milojee.com is linked to a unique email address during the registration process. The message may appear as someone has created a profile on your behalf (relative/friend). If you believe this is not the case, please use the ‘Contact’ link at your earliest convenience to notify us of this problem.

7. What is a ‘Username’?

This is a unique name that contains a maximum of 10 characters which allows you to be identified when you log onto the system.

8. Are there any specific DOs and DON'Ts while specifying a ‘Username’ during registration?

Choose a ‘Username’ that suits your profile and/or personality. Your ‘Username’ can contain only alphabets, numbers and the underscore ( _ ) character. The length of the Username should be at least 4 characters.

Your ‘Username’ should not contain contact information like e-mail address, telephone numbers, website addresses, fax numbers, etc. This is against the terms stipulated in the terms and conditions agreement for Milojee.com members

9. The form seems to be quite detail. Is there a requirement to fill in everything?.

We appreciate that entering your details onto Mlojee.com for the first time is somewhat time consuming or even initially daunting. However, based upon market research it has been apparent that if all our members provide as much detail about themselves and what they are looking for in their partner, this will greatly increase the probability of finding the right person.

10. How long does it take for my profile to be visible after profile creation on the Milojee.com site?

We aspire to get your profile approved within 24 hours, providing there is no reason for rejecting the profile (profile does not include email address, contact numbers, url’s or contain abusive language).

11. How will I know if my profile has been rejected?

If your profile is rejected due to the lack of information provided in the narratives or contains language that other Milojee members may find offensive, an email will be sent to you outlining the issue.

13. During the registration process, I selected a specific ‘Milojee Category’, can I change it at a later date?.

Yes, you can. Log onto the site and click on ‘My Account’. Click on ‘Edit Profile’ where you can change the ‘Milojee Category. The amended profile will be updated instantly.

Forgotten my password

1. I’ve forgotten my password and/or my username. What should I do?

You can log onto the Home Page and click on the ‘Forgotten my password’ link to have your login details resent to you.

2. The system is not recognising my password?

The password that you enter on the log-in screen is case sensitive, please recheck that your PC is not on CAPS LOCK. Otherwise recheck the email sent to you during the registration process.

3. How can I change my password?

Log onto the site and click on ‘change password’ under ‘Your Toolbox’ where you will be directed to the relevant section to amend your password.

Profile

1. What is a profile?.

A profile is what you create during the registration process which is used to help form a helpful insight and helps describe you as a person and what you are looking for in a partner.

2. How does the profile help me to meet people?.

When a person of the opposite/same gender views your profile and is interested in yourself, they will initiate contact by sending you a wink. An email will be sent to the recipient informing them of someone’s interest, you can view the other persons profile to determine compatibility to help decide whether you wish to communicate through the in-house email.

3. How can I change my contact information?.

If you wish to change contact information such as email address etc, log onto the site and click on ‘My Account’ where you can be directed to ‘Edit profile’ to amend your contact details.

4. Can I change the narrative that was initially provided during the registration process?.

You have the ability to change the narrative at any time by logging into the site and go to ‘My Account’ where you can be directed to the narrative section to amend any existing details. (Note, Foreign languages in the narratives are prohibited – English language only)

5. What are suggestions on the type of information that I should include in my narratives?.

This is where you have the ability to write what you would like others to read when they click on your profile. Such information that you could incorporate into your profile may include the following:
  • Information about yourself – (type of hobbies, personality, what do you do in your spare time, career aspirations)
  • Information about your family – (whether you have any brothers/sisters, whether you have relatives in the UK, US)
(Note, Foreign languages in the narratives are prohibited – English language only)

6. Is there a minimum/maximum number of words allowed in the narrative?.

There is a limited amount of words that can be entered in the narrative?. The minimum allowed is 25 words with a maximum of 200 words depending on the narrative.

7. Why am I not getting many messages?

There can be many reasons why you are not receiving many responses.
  • It could be due to you not accompanying a photo alongside your profile. Based upon market research, it has become evident that people respond more to where there is a picture that accompanies the profile. Remember that a picture says a thousand words!!!.
  • Another key reason would be due to lack on information provided in your narrative. Try and avoid being too vague and give more detailed information that will help you stand out from the rest.
  • Alternatively it maybe because your partner criteria is too narrow therefore does not match other members that are registered on the site.
Photo Upload

1. Why should I add a photograph to my profile?

Our market research has shown that adding a photograph to a profile greatly increases the number of times your profile is viewed and where people respond to. You are more likely to receive 10 times more responses if you attach a photo. So we suggest you attach a photo to increase your chances of finding your partner quickly.
To attach a photograph all you need to do is follow the following steps:

Log onto the site and click on ‘My Account’ where you can be directed to the relevant section headed ‘Photo’s.
Please note that you change what picture is visible in your profile and/or photo gallery at anytime by logging onto ‘My Account’ where you can be directed to the relevant section headed ‘Photo’s under ‘Edit Profile’.

2. I have uploaded my photo(s), and it says ‘Image Unavailable’.

Your photo has been sent to be approved as this reduces the risk of members publishing photo’s that can become offensive to others.
Usually the process of approving the photo(s) takes 24 hrs before becoming ‘live’ on the system.
In the likely event your photo has been rejected, you will be notified by email.

3. I wish to ‘Hide’ a picture, when will the picture be unhidden?

If you decide to hide a picture, it will be hidden from other members straight away. To do this, click on ‘My Account’ and click on ‘Edit profile’, select ‘Photos’
4. How many photo’s can be uploaded onto my profile?.

You have the ability to upload 7 pictures to your profile (max 2MB each photo)

5. I don’t have a digital photo of myself. I have a photo that is not in a digital format. Can I still add my photo to my profile?. If so,How?.

Yes, we at Milojee.com provide a FREE scanning service to its members. All you have to do is mail us your photo at the address below with your contact details your username

We will scan the photo, and if possible enhance the digital image before uploading the photo to your profile.

Note : Please send your photograph in a strong envelope (that’s not easily bendable) with your Milojee username and full contact details. Please sign the back of the photograph.

Milojee.com is not responsible or liable for any photographs that may get damaged or lost in transit. Also, photographs will NOT be returned so please ensure that you send us only a duplicate or a copy.

After receiving your photograph, we require about 24 hours to upload it. You will be notified via email once we attach your photograph to your profile.

Misc Section
1. Can other members of Milojee know when I’m logged on?.

Yes. When you are log onto the system, the ‘Who’s Online’ section enables other members to see who is currently ‘Online’. This underlying feature enables you get noticed.

2. Can I write messages to any members registered on Milojee.com?.

Yes, you can write a personalized message using the in-house email system. Go to the ‘My account’ and click on ‘view subscriptions’ to determine what type of account you are currently utilising.

3. Am not receiving any automated messages from Milojee. What can I do?

Go to your email address during the registration process and amend your ‘junk mail’ filter to include ‘alerts@milojee.com’

4. Does Milojee.com allow same sex matching?.

Yes. We understand that members needs vary among different individuals.

Favourites (My List)

1. Can I create a favourites list of profiles that I like?.

Yes. When you see a profile that you wish to add to your favourites list, Click ‘Add Profile’ Your complete list of favourites will now appear under ‘Who I like’ located under ‘My List’ within ‘My Toolbox’

2. Can I see whether other members have added me to their favourites list?.

Yes. Click on ‘Who Likes Me’ located under ‘My List’ within ‘My Toolbox’ You will be able to see the member’s username who has added your profile details to their Favourites list.

3. A Milojee member sends me ‘emails’ and/ or ‘wink alerts’ and I’m not interested in communicating with them. What can I do?. – Can I block certain members from contacting me?

Yes. When you see a profile that you wish to block from communicating to you, view their profile, click ‘Block Member’. Your complete list of blocked members will now appear under ‘Who I Dislike’ located under ‘My List’ within ‘My Toolbox’

Email Corner

1. How many emails can I store in my inbox?

There is no limit to the amount of emails that can be stored. However, it is considered good email etiquette to delete historical emails that are not viewed on a regular basis.

2. How does the email system work?.

If you view a profile and wish to send them an email, Click ‘Send Email’ and enter your message. The recipient will receive an automated message to notify them that they have new mail in their ‘Email Corner’.
